S’mores Ice Cream
I have a fun treat for you today! I am a lover of ice cream. There is just something so perfect about creamy, cold and sweet mixing together. I decided to give making ice cream a try again, and the end result was almost magical. Seriously. This ice cream is so delicious, you will be begging for more!
I began with a simple vanilla ice cream and made enough for a large ice cream maker, but I only have a small ice cream maker. Because of that, I was able to make two different types of ice cream and only had to make one batch of the vanilla. Tomorrow I will show you the ice cream that I made with the other half of the mixture.
To begin, you will need to blend these ingredients together and then put them in the ice cream maker.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 C Whole Milk
- 1 1/2 C Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 can Evaporated Milk
- 1 1/2 TBS Pure Vanilla
- 2 C Whipping Cream
Here comes the fun part. Now you get to add in the mix ins. I chose to do a yummy s’mores ice cream first and boy was I glad that I did! It is delicious! Here’s what I mixed in:
- 1/2 small container of Marshmallow cream
- 1 cup Golden Grahams
- 1 Cadbury Dairy Milk Bar chopped
When the ice cream is just about done freezing in the ice cream maker, add these mix ins in a little at a time. You want to make sure that they are evenly distributed. My girls even got in on the adding mix ins action. (or eating mix ins, both were acceptable) 🙂
After they are all mixed in, you are ready to eat it, or put it in the freezer for later. I found that letting it sit in the freezer for a little bit was a good idea so that the ice cream was still scoopable, but not melting immediately.
Go make some and enjoy! You will be SO glad that you did.
Loved this recipe. We tried it out recently you can see our rendition here

Thank you for sharing!
I’m so glad you tried it and liked it! It’s too bad that it wasn’t a 5 out of 5 approval rating though 😉
Small or large can of evaporated milk?
