I’m on a printable game kick this week. I just had all of these ideas that I thought would be fun and decided to get designing! Lucky for you, though, I am sharing the love so that you can use these game ideas with your own kids. Roll a Rainbow is a super fun idea that is so good at teaching matching skills, counting, colors, and more. My four year old is the champion at playing this game, and I love playing it with her.

The idea behind this is so simple. Every number on the dice represents a color on the rainbow. You take turns rolling the dice and put a skittle on the rainbow that matches the number you rolled. The first person to fill their entire rainbow is the winner.

The first several rounds will be just back and forth rolling and filling the colors of the rainbow. Once your rainbow starts to get filled, all of the spots for one color will start be taken. If you roll the dice and you’ve already filled the color that you roll, your turn is over and you pass the dice to the next person.

Since there aren’t blue skittles in the bag, I decided to make one number a Wild so that you could fill in spots that you are missing.

You definitely need to give this a try sometime. All you need to do is buy some skittles, print out as many game boards as you need, and get rolling a dice!
