Lo Mein Recipe
Last week we celebrated the Chinese New Year at our house by making some delicious Chinese food. We talked about how it is the year of the monkey and how every year is assigned a different animal, and my girls thought it was a really interesting night. My kids LOVE noodles, so this Lo Mein recipe was a must have for our dinner menu along with some grilled beef teriyaki. (I’ll share that recipe tomorrow.)
The best part about this is that it took me about 20 minutes start to finish to make, and it really is so simple. It’s worth trying and I bet you’ll even want to make it again. My kids slurped it down and were asking for seconds. Honestly, is there anything cuter than a little toddler stuffing noodles in their mouth with both of their chubby little hands? It is hands down my favorite thing ever.
If you like a little bit of heat in the noodles, follow this recipe exactly. I would probably cut the white pepper down in half next time because it was a little hot for my kids, but they still ate it. Overall, we give this recipe 4 stars as it stands and will definitely be making it again and soon! Be sure to add it to your weekly menu and try it out!
