Snail Valentines
These snail valentines are the perfect choice for a non-candy valentine, and as a bonus, they are so simple to make! It takes just a few things to make them, and you’ll have them finished in no time at all.
To begin, you’ll need to get double sided scrapbook paper, slap bracelets (I picked them up at Zurchers), googly eyes, and mini pom poms. Start by cutting a strip of paper that is just slightly wider than the slap bracelet and about 5-6 inches long. Cut the top of the strip into antennae by cutting a trapezoid shape with scissors.
Once you have the paper cut out, you’ll want to glue the pom poms onto the ends of the antennae, and also glue the eyes onto the front of the paper. I just used an Elmer’s glue stick and they held just fine for me. Then fold the snail body so that from the eyes up will be above the slap bracelet.
Next, you’ll want to have some tape. Roll a piece of tape up and place it on the bottom of the slap bracelet. You can either make the slap bracelet into a heart shape, or leave it rolled up. Either way is adorable and fun! Stick the bracelet into place on the back of the snail. Then you’ll need a second piece of tape rolled up and placed so that the head will be stuck to the side of the bracelet. It is just so that the head will be held up extra well.
That’s it! They are really so easy to make, and come together very quickly. Now go make some and have some fun with it!
