Love Bug Treat Cups
The last week or so, we have been having a Harry Potter marathon over at my house. It has been years since I watched the movies, and my girls hadn’t ever watched them, so I thought it might be a fun thing to do together. Of course, things are a little dark and so we will only go as far as watching Harry Potter 4. Anyway, the reason I tell you this is because I wanted to do a fun activity to go along with the movie watching and these Love Bug treat cups were a fun thing for us to do together and then use to hold our popcorn for during the movie. This is a fun activity for an afternoon at home, or even for a classroom party.
My most favorite part was the different faces that the girls came up with. Somehow, the love bugs went from being cutsie, to monsters. Ha ha! They added lots of googly eyes and giggled through the whole thing.
I started out with some red and pink cups from Target, foam hearts, googly eyes, glue stick, and a piece of red card stock paper. I made mine and then let the girls go crazy with their designs. They didn’t really care to use the card stock, and just stuck with the googly eyes, glue sticks, and foam hearts.
We all loved the way they turned out and I would recommend this activity to anyone. It is simple and something that kids love because there are no rules of how things should look in the end.
