Not to freak you out or anything, but Christmas is in 4 and a half weeks!!! It is going to be here before we know it, and I thought I would share some of the gift ideas that I have been gathering for my girls. I know I am always looking for new ideas and like to share what I find with others. Today I am going to be focusing on some of the toy gifts for girls, tomorrow will be all about the clothes, Wednesday is stocking stuffers, and Friday will be focused on books! I know you are going to find something that will be sure to delight the little girls in your life.
I don’t know about you, but my daughters are obsessed with watching Play-Doh tutorials on You Tube. I don’t understand the appeal of watching adults play with Play-Doh sets, but they are hooked and are always asking for sets of their own to try out. Here are a couple of sets that are affordable and SO cute!
About a month ago, I was at my mom’s house and happened upon my old easy bake oven. When I explained to my daughters what it did, they wanted to try it out immediately! I remember the allure of the oven, and love that I get to share the fun with my girls. This set is definitely nicer than the one that I used as a kid, but it is super affordable at only $32!
Have you ever heard of Goldie Blox? The concept behind them is to empower girls to explore science and engineering in new and exciting ways. I have wanted to try out one of these sets for a while now, and Christmas is looking like a good time to finally just do it.
My mother in law bought some of these magnetic connector toys a while back, and they have been such a big hit with the kids of all ages. Even the adults can be found building with them. You should definitely give these a try!
I remember as a little girl, my grandmother used to give me sets like this and I loved them! There is something so satisfying about needlepoint that I loved doing. I especially loved cross stitching when I was about 10 or so.
I bought this book for my daughter last year and it is the cutest thing ever. It is filled with projects that my daughter loves, and I think they are cute enough that I not only want to do them with her, but keep them instead of throwing them out. I totally recommend getting this one. It is amazing.
Duplos are the best for younger girls that want to be able to build. My four year old LOVES doing the duplo sets while my 6 year old loves the standard lego sets. It is really cute to see them working on their lego sets together.
Speaking of Lego sets, I can’t get enough of these cute princess lego sets for my daughter. We just got a horse barn set that she also REALLY loved and spent hours working on it with her dad. It was so delightful to see them working together. I am definitely going to get her a new set to try out as well.
You can never go wrong with art supplies. I LOVE this crayola art set and think it is a perfect thing to have on hand for anytime a creative project just needs to be made.
There are so many things about this watch that I love. My mother in law bought it for my daughter last Christmas and it has been one of the best things ever! I love that I can see things from my daughter’s point of view because this watch takes pictures and videos! It is so fun! Plus it has games and teaches them how to tell time. My daughter just plugs it into my computer and we transfer the pictures over to a file on my computer once the memory is full, and to charge the battery. Your daughter will love this. Trust me.
Pretty much any of the Melissa and Doug toys could be in this gift guide. I can’t say enough about how much I love all of their sets. We have the cupcakes, ice cream, magnetic dolls, puzzles….you get the idea. We have a lot of their toys and they are always an instant hit.
Have you ever touched this kinetic sand? It is seriously the coolest. It is such a fun sensory toy and always a big hit with kids.
My girls love tea parties. I am thinking this set would be right up their alley since they would be able to personalize the set by painting it, and then use it in their play time. I think it is such a fun idea!
I would definitely give this to a girl that is a little older, but how cool is this?! My girls and I love doing our nails, and I really like the idea of doing something other than just painting it normal colors. We like to do decals and glitter too, and this set looks like a blast.
My 6 year old daughter has started journaling at school, and has requested that I get her a journal for home too. Isn’t this something every little girls needs in their life? I loved mine when I was a little girl. There is something so intriguing about having your thoughts protected by that little lock.
Dress ups. Need I say more? I do love that these dress ups go beyond just the “princess” dress.
When I was younger, I had a tent that went on my bed that I could sleep in. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. fast forward to now, and I love the teepee trend that is going on right now. My girls would go crazy over one of these in their room!
This is the best idea ever! I used to make tied blankets where you just tie the edges, but I have never seen it where you make quilt blocks! I think it looks like so much fun to do with my daughter. She would think it was the coolest.
Make Your Own Quilt (no sew)
This terrarium is so cute. I love that it is something that teaches along with an activity.
If you don’t like the terrarium idea, how about this fairy garden?! My girls would go crazy for this! I would love to make this and then stick it out in the yard for the girls to play with.
Hopefully you’ve got some ideas now of things that would make any little girl light up on Christmas. If you have other ideas for me, I would LOVE to hear them! Leave me a comment below and I will update the post as more ideas come in.
