Make Your Own Jack-O-Lantern T-shirt

When it comes to making stuff for little guys, I still have so much to learn. Making things for my girls is easy peasy! I have that down pat, but trying to make something for my son without making it look too girly is a challenge for me. I get all these ideas and then I just want to use glitter vinyl to make it even cuter…..but then it’s too girly. I decided I needed to keep it simple and went with a Jack o Lantern shirt instead. When I look at Carter’s cute little grin, I see a Jack-O-Lantern smile which was the inspiration for this shirt.  I will show you how easy it is to make your own Jack-O-Lantern t-shirt.

Start by buying a shirt. I found mine at Walmart for only $3! I loved that it was inexpensive and long sleeved, but also that it was cozy and perfect for adding to it and making it fun instead of boring. You will also need iron on vinyl. I get mine from Expressions Vinyl. Their easy weed vinyl is amazing!

In the Silhouette store, there are a TON of different Jack-O-Lantern faces to choose from. I chose my favorite which was more of a classic face and then cut it out using the black easy weed iron on vinyl.

All you have to do is iron it on, and TA-DA! You have a festive and fun shirt that is perfect for wearing for Halloween. Can’t you tell how much Carter loves his new shirt?! He is a handsome little guy, don’t you think. 🙂
