Iron on Vinyl Tutorial
I received product for this post, but all opinions are 100% my own. Post contains affiliate links.
You’ve probably noticed the cobwebs around here with the lack of posting, but it’s for a good reason. I am just having too much fun with my family! We have been traveling, fishing, biking, boating and more. I will eventually be back to a normalized schedule, but for now, I will just check in every now and then with a post I just can’t help but share.
Today is one of those days. I am so excited to share this fun and super easy iron on vinyl tutorial we used to make some shirts for my girls to wear during the summer. I have used my fair share of vinyl in my lifetime, but I just have to say that when I saw this holographic iron on vinyl, I seriously was giddy. I ordered both fuchsia and gold holographic iron on vinyl from Expressions Vinyl and loved how quickly my order came, and you definitely can’t beat the price.
I used my Silhouette machine to cut out a flamingo and pineapple shapes that I purchased from the Silhouette store. I really love the shape options that they have there! After it was cut out, I weeded out the pieces I didn’t want and then ironed the shape onto the t-shirts.
My girls really loved helping me make them, and they love wearing them even more. Here’s the best part about these shirts. The PRICE!!! I picked up the shirts from Walmart (of all places) for only $3.50 each! So for less than $5 a shirt, my girls have some adorable and soft t-shirts to run around in for the rest of the summer.
You should definitely give this a try, and don’t just stop at making shirts for your kids, make them for yourself too!
While you are in the vinyl-ing mood (that’s totally a word) be sure to check out all of these other projects using vinyl. You are sure to be inspired by one of my incredibly talented blog friends, if not all of them!
This is a great idea!!!!!!!! So cute.
