Kitchen Remodel | Part Two
Today is the day! I am so excited to FINALLY show you all of our hard work! I am in love with the way that everything turned out and think that you will love it too. I present, my new kitchen!!!
Here is the before picture one more time so you can compare where it was to where it is now.
We added height by raising the cupboard above the stove as well as adding the cabinet above the fridge. The crown moulding added a finishing touch that makes everything look so much more custom and finished. Yesterday, I posted the whole process of getting our kitchen to this point. If you missed it, be sure to check out part one!
Did I mention that I also painted the kitchen gray? If you look, it used to be green, but now the walls are gray and I LOVE it! One other thing I didn’t talk about in yesterday’s post is the amazing pendant light we hung above the sink. We picked it up at Lowe’s and it was so simple to install and makes a HUGE difference.
Having the glass doors on the cabinet above the dishwasher was a perfect choice! I love the color that it brings to the kitchen and think it just looks so nice! I added some dishes that I had along with some amazing ombre mugs that I picked up from World Market. Another thing that added some color is the rug that I picked up from Target.
The hardware on the cabinets is from a place called Timberline in Orem, Utah. They had a good selection with a great price!
We debated about putting doors on the cabinet above the fridge, but ended up choosing open shelving for that instead. I love the way it works as well! It is a perfect spot for my cookbooks and cake stand. I found the perfect baskets from Target and they fit like a glove on the shelf as well.
I really just love the way everything looks so clean and bright now. It was so worth all the time and money that we put into it. There were definitely times that I had to remind myself that it would all be worth it in the end because it seemed like my kitchen would be destroyed forever.
If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to ask me about it. Here’s one last parting shot of the kitchen and a little peek at the light we installed over the table. 🙂
Joni! Your kitchen looks amazing. I always admire your many talents and wonderful sense of style. You and John did a great job.
LOVE it all! It doesn’t even look like the same space! Great job!
Love, Love, LOVE! This is some great inspiration for my basement kitchen I’m dreaming of! How do you like that new sink?
Holy cow that’s GORGEOUS!!!!
Thank you!
I LOVE this!! I have total kitchen envy right now!
Thank You! I love it too 🙂
This is so awesome! It looks so pretty! I am slowly trying to convince people in my house turn our kitchen into a white/silver kitchen… how it works because yours looks amazing! Can’t wait to meet you at SNAP!
I love it! Maybe because it looks very similar to my kitchen, but still! I am a fan of black and white because it’s easy to add pops of color with accessories.
