My Little Pony Party Ideas
I thought it would be fun to have a post where I recapped Lillie’s entire birthday party so that all of the My Little Pony Party ideas would all be in one spot. I’ve linked to all of the past pony posts so that you can access all of them from here. This would be a great post to pin for later, just in case you ever have a party like this at your house!
I already showed you the invitations for the party and even gave you a free template to make your own (just in case you missed that post, click on the link). We decorated the kitchen with balloons, streamers, stars, and a pony pinata. It was fairly inexpensive to put together and we picked up most of the decorations from Zurchers.
We started off with a round of pin the tail on the pony. I already talked about that in another post, but if you missed it, you can get the printable by clicking the link.
By the time we were done with that, my husband was back with pizzas for the kids. The party was held over lunch time, so we knew we needed to feed them. Lillie’s request was pizza, and we were happy to oblige. After pizza, we went outside for our Rainbow Dash obstacle course complete with stick horses.
It was a little bit warm outside, so we came back inside afterwards and I gave the kids cupcakes to decorate. In the My Little Pony series, Pinkie Pie is all about making cupcakes during parties, so we thought it would be fun to let the kids have some frosting and sprinkles and just have at it! I just used a funfetti cake mix for the cupcakes and a container of premade frosting. Nothing fancy, but the kids LOVED it!
We sang “Happy Birthday” to Lillie and let her blow out the candles. Then those that wanted to blow out a candle as well got a chance too.
After cupcakes, it was time for presents. It is always so cute to see the guests so excited as they give their presents. There were plenty of hugs to go around too.
One of the things that Lillie insisted we have at the party was a pinata. She wanted one SO BAD! I went to Zurchers and found the perfect pony pinata and the price was even more perfect! It was only $9!!! We filled it with candy and the kids got going trying to break it. We had brown paper sacks for them to put all of their goodies in so that they could bring them home with them at the end of the party.
To finish off the party, we put an episode of My Little Pony on the TV and my amazing aunt came down and painted cutie marks on the kids faces. The kids thought it was so great! I wish I would have gotten photos of each of their faces, but I unfortunately didn’t. There were four options for the kids to choose from and it was so cute to hear them giggling as their faces were painted. The show was just to entertain those that were waiting for their turn and it worked out great!
Overall, I would say the party was a big success! Lillie couldn’t stop talking about how much fun she had, and I definitely had a lot of fun putting it all together.
SO so adorable! Sad we missed it. That’s what I get for moving to North Carolina!
Love it! This is such a cute party!
My girls would freak out for a party like this. It is adorable!!!!
