Halloween Party Treat Ideas #shop

I don’t know about you, but Halloween parties are always more fun with delicious treats.  Am I right? Of course I am right.  I wanted to show you a couple of ideas that you can use that are really quick but perfect for your Halloween party coming up in the next couple of days.

Growing up, my mom has always had some sort of food available on Halloween during trick or treating.  It can range from sloppy joes to pizza or just donuts.  Whenever someone we knew would come to our house, we would invite them in for something a little more substantial then candy.  It was a fun way to celebrate Halloween, no one was ever pressured to come in, but all were invited. (I am starting to sound like my dad)  Anyway, needless to say, my love of Halloween comes from my family.

I thought that maybe I would carry on the tradition and have some pizza ready for the trick or treaters that came to my house.  Of course, I wanted to make it so that if people had to take the food and go, they could.  But I also wanted to make it so that the pizza was adequately spookified.  Instead of cutting my pizza in slices, I decided to pull out my Halloween cookie cutters and cut the pizza with that instead.  I picked up a couple of Tombstone pizzas from Walmart and cut out ghosts, moons, cats and pumpkins.  How fun is this?!  They are easy to hold, not messy and super fun!

Another idea I had came from seeing all the candy at the store while walking around.  I picked up some assorted candies (nerds, Butterfinger and Crunch bars) and thought that it would make the perfect ice cream bar!  Simply chop up your candies and you have toppings ready to go.  Make sure to pick up some vanilla ice cream and some chocolate and caramel toppings as well.

If you have a little more time and the party is a smaller, more intimate party, you can also use the candies to make some milk shakes!  You can have it set up “do it yourself” style, or you can have a designated shake maker.  If you want to allow your guests to have exactly what they want, you can put your toppings out, already cut up and ready to go into the shake.

For one serving, add three scoops of vanilla ice cream and about 1/2 a cup of milk.  You don’t want it to be too liquidy.  You can always add more if you need it.

Along with the ice cream and milk, add in any toppings that you would like and blend together.  I decided on a raspberry and crunch bar shake, but you could do any sort of combination!  I was thinking that Butterfinger and caramel would be awesome together!

You should make sure to have some festive straws available because, well, why not?!  They are an easy way to add some fun to the shakes.

I hope you like these simple and fun treats to add to your party!
