Blog Wars Competition

Today is the day that I have been looking forward to for a VERY long time!  I get to introduce to you a NEW blogging competition that I will be hosting right here on Just Between Friends!

Blog Wars is a competition that brings bloggers and sponsors together in a new and exciting way.  If you are a creative blogger, you are going to want to be a part of this.  Here’s how it works:

12 bloggers will be selected randomly to compete in the competition.  The competition will have 4 rounds.  Each round will be sponsored by a different company who will be providing each contestant with a box of products (secret ingredient) that they will have to create a project with during the specified round.  All 12 contestants will receive the products from all four rounds so that the competition will be able to run four weeks consecutively.  There are no guidelines for what the project needs to be, only that the secret ingredient needs to be used in the project in some way.

Each round will be structured with the contestants being told which sponsor’s products to use on Monday and having until Thursday to complete a project and send in a photo to me.  Friday, the projects will be posted and voting will begin. The projects will be kept anonymous so that the voting will be fair and the voting will continue until Sunday at midnight.  The following Monday, the lowest three will be eliminated from the competition and the next product to be used will be announced for the remaining contestants.  The competition will continue in this pattern until the final three winners are announced.

Doesn’t this sound like a party?!?!  I bet you are dying to see which sponsors will be participating.  I want to thank them all for being so willing to be a part of this and for being SO generous.  (You guys are going to just die when you hear what the prize packages are!  I will save that for another post though.)

How to Enter:

Get your best project together because on Monday April 29th you will be able to enter the contest.  There will be a linky party available here on Just Between Friends that you can link ONE of your best projects to.  One thing that I really wanted to do is keep this fair and not turn it into a popularity contest.  Everyone that enters has the exact same chance of winning no matter your blog size.  All you need to do is enter your project and then I will use random.org to select all 12 contestants!  You must be linking to your own site and it must be a project that you have personally done to qualify as an entry.  Multiple entries will be deleted.  

Contest Schedule:

• April 29th-May 5th    Entries accepted to be considered as a contestant
• May 6th                           12 Contestants announced and product is sent by sponsors to the contestants so that it will arrive by May 11th.
• May 13th-19th             First Round
• May 20th-26th            Second Round
• May 27th- June 2nd  Third Round
• June 3rd-9th                 Fourth Round
• June 10th                       First, Second and Third place announced
