I thought it would be fun to get to know the contestants a little bit, and sent them all a questionnaire to fill out.  Over the next couple of weeks, I will be introducing them to you so that you can find out more about these awesome ladies who are competing on Blog Wars!  First up is Abbey from The Cards We Drew!

#1 What is your favorite kind of project? -also- What is your favorite project you have ever completed?

A: My favorite kind of project is typically a home décor project or a wreath. My absolute favorite project
has to be my Pinwheel Wreath that I recently did: http://thecardswedrew.com/2013/03/spring-pinwheel-wreath/ it’s just so bright and fun and makes me smile.

#2 If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

A: I’d have to say Italy or Greece or a trip where I got to go to both.

#3 If you had one day to do anything you wanted to do, what would it be?

A: I’m so boring here…probably just a day to get my life back in order. Clean my house, finish some projects, maybe sit back and catch up on some shows, just take an uninterrupted day to myself to get things done and feel caught up finally. Totally lame, I know!

#4 When you were younger, what did you think you would be when you grew up, and did it happen?

A: I wanted to be a teacher when I was younger. Then I got into college and went a different route. I now provide technical assistance to local governments for a state infrastructure grants and loans program, so I guess in some ways I do kind of teach folks things, but in a non-traditional setting.
#5 Favorite medium?  (paint, sewing, power tools,etc..)
A: Is hot glue a medium? Because I pretty much use that stuff for every project I do!
#6 Why did you start your blog?  How long ago did you start it?
A: I started my blog is 2009 when I was pregnant with my son. It was started as a family blog to document my pregnancy and my son and then completely morphed into a craft blog after I did his first birthday party. Sometimes I think I should revisit my roots more and talk more about my family again.
#7 Tell me your favorite joke.
A: Ummm? Hmm. I’m not much of a joke teller, is there one that starts with “So, a craft blogger walks into a bar…?” I do love those “Hey Girl” memes with Ryan Gosling though! My favorite…”Hey Girl, I get how you spend $300 at Target when we just needed toilet paper. I do that too.”
