The Braided Star
I LOVE Independence Day! Its such a great holiday that we have the opportunity to celebrate. It may mean family BBQ’s and sparklers, but it’s definitely more than that. We are lucky to have the freedoms we do because of the brave. So to show a little spirit of the Stars and Stripes I have a fun style for you. There is no video with this style, because I didn’t get my husbands help to film before he left for work…ha! So it’s a step by step guide this week, which I actually found to be easier with a style like this. So, without further ado, the Braided Star.
Part the hair into 5 sections. One square on the top of the head, and the rest into 4 sections as pictured.
Split the top square into 2 braids. Place one braid into the bottom right section, and the other braid into the bottom left section.
Split the top right section into 2 sections, braid 1 section and combine it with the top left section.
Braid the tail of the top left. Combine that with the bottom right.
Take the rest of the tail from the top right section and braid it. Combine that with the bottom left.
You now have a fun style to show a little July 4th spirit! Add in some red, white, and blue ribbons and you are all ready for some fireworks and a water fight. Don’t forget to thank all past, present, and future men and women who fight for our freedoms.
