As part of Snowman week, I really wanted to create a kids craft that my girls would enjoy doing. It needed to be something that would be easy for them, and not a ton of prep work for me to do beforehand. This snowman snowglobe is exactly that. You definitely should give this snowman kids craft a try this winter. It was a HUGE hit over here at my house!

To get started, you’ll need blue cardstock, patterned cardstock in a coordinating or contrasting color, elmer’s glue, white pom poms, crayons, and snowflake sequins (optional. mine are from the Target dollar spot.) I began by tracing a circle onto the blue cardstock using a plate as a template. The kids plates from IKEA are the perfect size for this! Then I cut out some rectangles from the patterned paper and angled the sides slightly, then glued the two pieces together. Now it is ready for my kids to take over!

They used the Elmers glue and made a circle big enough for the bottom of the snowman. Then they put the pom poms onto the glue to let it dry. Once the circle was filled with poms, they made another circle of glue right above the other one that was slightly smaller. The same thing was done for the head as well.

After all of the poms are on the paper, I had the girls draw arms and hats, and then we cut out little orange carrot noses and glued them into place. Little googly eyes were the perfect way to finish up the snowman.

After the snowman was complete, we added snowflake sequins to the snowglobe to finish it off. I put dots of glue around the snowman, and then the girls put the snowflakes on the dots. It was a really fun touch to finish things off
