Olaf

I don’t know about you, but ever since I have taken my girls to see the new Disney movie FROZEN, they can’t stop talking about it!  We have had so much fun this past month listening to the incredible soundtrack from the movie and playing with all sorts of FROZEN toys.  If you haven’t already seen it, it really is one that you need to add to your MUST SEE list!  Let me just show you some of the fun that we have been having at our house, plus I have a pattern for you to be able to make your own Olaf that you can do with your kids!

We started out our fun by taking the girls to Walmart to pick out some FROZEN toys.   I told the girls that we had a BIG surprise for them and let them choose any toys that they wanted.  Addie chose the Baby Anna doll, Lillie chose the Elsa doll and the polly pocket type set with the sleigh and all the complete story set with all the characters.  We also picked up the coloring book and story book.  They hadn’t heard of FROZEN before this, and I wanted them to know all about it so that they would really appreciate the movie when we went.

Going to the theater with my girls was so fun!  They got their popcorn and icee drinks and were dancing and singing through the entire movie!  It was so delightful!  The first time we saw the movie was the week that it came out.  The second time, I decided I would take the girls on a little date.  Our first stop was the Subway inside of Walmart.  I had heard that they had some really cute FROZEN themed kids meals and knew that my girls would love them!  My youngest literally squealed when she saw the Olaf keychain inside of her kids meal.  After lunch, we went to see FROZEN again and it was even better the second time!  Coming out of the theater, my girls couldn’t stop singing “Let it go” over and over. (It is the song that Elsa sings during the movie, but it is also played during the credits.)  I recorded them singing it because it was just too cute.  Be sure to check that out on Instagram today.  I can’t help but share it because it is seriously adorable!

Since the girls had purchased their toys before going to the movie, they didn’t realize how much they would love Olaf.  I decided that it would be fun to make a felt Olaf for them to play with and thought that you might be interested in it as well.  I decided to add a cute top hat and scarf so that my girls would have more accessories to play with.
